# Grammatisch vs A1

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: A1 at none against Grammatisch's 5. A1 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 18.0). Grammatisch's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 24 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grammatisch sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. A1 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Grammatisch holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grammatisch has 723 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Grammatisch's written reviews are positive against 68% of A1's.

Grammatisch ships an update every 9 days, A1 every 24 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
