# Grammatisch vs B1

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: B1 at none against Grammatisch's 6. B1 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 18.0). Grammatisch's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 24 months). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grammatisch sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. B1 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Grammatisch holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grammatisch has 722 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Grammatisch's written reviews are positive against 78% of B1's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Grammatisch ships an update every 2 weeks, B1 every 24 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
