# Grammatisch vs DER

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DER at 100% against Grammatisch's 72%. DER also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Grammatisch's advantage is ratings volume (723 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grammatisch sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and DER sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DER holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grammatisch has 723 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Grammatisch's written reviews are positive against 100% of DER's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
