# FreightTracer Mobile vs Shipwell

The clearest difference is rating: Shipwell at 4.5 against FreightTracer Mobile's 2.8. Shipwell also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 18). FreightTracer Mobile's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 37%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shipwell holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shipwell has 4.6K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of FreightTracer Mobile's written reviews are positive against 37% of Shipwell's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FreightTracer Mobile ships an update every 2 weeks, Shipwell every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
