# NetTest vs Speed Test

The clearest difference is ads: Speed Test at none against NetTest's shown. Speed Test also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (1K vs 45). NetTest's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 65%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NetTest sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Speed Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for NetTest against 4.4 for Speed Test. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speed Test has 1K ratings behind it against 45, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of NetTest's written reviews are positive against 65% of Speed Test's.

NetTest ships an update monthly, Speed Test every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
