# Slow Mo Guy vs Hoop Protect

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hoop Protect at 100% against Slow Mo Guy's 50%. Hoop Protect also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Slow Mo Guy's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slow Mo Guy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Hoop Protect asks for nothing beyond the download.

Slow Mo Guy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slow Mo Guy has 104 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Slow Mo Guy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hoop Protect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
