# Slow Mo Guy vs Vex

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Vex at 88% against Slow Mo Guy's 50%. Slow Mo Guy's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (104 vs 30). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slow Mo Guy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Vex sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slow Mo Guy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 104 and 30 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Slow Mo Guy's written reviews are positive against 88% of Vex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slow Mo Guy ships an update every 2 months, Vex every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
