# eCount vs Squint

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Squint at 26 against eCount's 2. Squint also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). eCount's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for eCount against 5.0 for Squint. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Squint has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

eCount ships an update monthly, Squint fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
