# Astrospheric vs Meteor Shower

The clearest difference is update cadence: Meteor Shower at every 2 days against Astrospheric's every 2 weeks. Meteor Shower also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Astrospheric's advantage is ratings volume (484 vs 3) and chart position (#82 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Astrospheric sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Meteor Shower sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Meteor Shower holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Astrospheric has 484 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Astrospheric ships an update every 2 weeks, Meteor Shower every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
