# Tapplock vs TouchLock BT

The clearest difference is rating: Tapplock at 4.3 against TouchLock BT's 3.6. Tapplock also leads on ratings volume (243 vs 5). TouchLock BT's advantage is monetization model (free vs paid) and review sentiment (75% vs 65%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tapplock holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tapplock has 243 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Tapplock's written reviews are positive against 75% of TouchLock BT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
