# Solitaire vs Solitaire*

Solitaire and Solitaire* both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 95% of Solitaire's written reviews are positive against 32% of Solitaire*'s. Solitaire also leads on ratings volume (50K vs 3.9K). Solitaire*'s advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Solitaire sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Solitaire* sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Solitaire against 4.6 for Solitaire*. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solitaire has 50K ratings behind it against 3.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
