# Mergimals vs OverEcho

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mergimals at 415 against OverEcho's 3. Mergimals also leads on iOS requirement (7.0 vs 12.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mergimals sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and OverEcho sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Mergimals against 4.3 for OverEcho. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mergimals has 415 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Mergimals's written reviews are positive against 75% of OverEcho's.

Mergimals ships an update every 3 weeks, OverEcho monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
