# MYBOX vs Катана

The clearest difference is monetization model: Катана at free against MYBOX's free with in-app purchases. Катана also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 90%). MYBOX's advantage is ratings volume (386 vs 11) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MYBOX holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MYBOX has 386 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of MYBOX's written reviews are positive against 100% of Катана's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MYBOX ships an update monthly, Катана every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
