# UpDown vs MyWeight²

The clearest difference is rating: MyWeight² at 4.9 against UpDown's 4.4. MyWeight² also leads on ratings volume (116 vs 16). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UpDown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and MyWeight² sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyWeight² holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyWeight² has 116 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of UpDown's written reviews are positive against 84% of MyWeight²'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpDown ships an update every 4 weeks, MyWeight² fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
