# Weightbot vs Scale

Weightbot and Scale both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Scale's written reviews are positive against 60% of Weightbot's. Scale also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). Weightbot's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weightbot sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Scale sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Weightbot against 4.4 for Scale. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 105 and 122 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Weightbot's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scale's.

Weightbot ships an update every 3 months, Scale every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
