# MyVirginActive vs Barberino's

The clearest difference is rating: MyVirginActive at 3.9 against Barberino's's 1.7. MyVirginActive also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (38 vs 7). Barberino's's advantage is review sentiment (26% vs 9%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyVirginActive holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyVirginActive has 38 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of MyVirginActive's written reviews are positive against 26% of Barberino's's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyVirginActive ships an update every 6 weeks, Barberino's every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
