# Schoollog vs LAUSD

The clearest difference is rating: LAUSD at 2.8 against Schoollog's 1.3. LAUSD also leads on ratings volume (68 vs 12). Schoollog's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 13%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

LAUSD holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LAUSD has 68 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Schoollog's written reviews are positive against 13% of LAUSD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Schoollog ships an update every 2 months, LAUSD monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
