# StarTimes ON vs TryPebble

The clearest difference is rating: TryPebble at 4.4 against StarTimes ON's 3.5. TryPebble also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). StarTimes ON's advantage is ratings volume (216 vs 5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StarTimes ON sells 21 one-off in-app purchases and TryPebble sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.90 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TryPebble holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StarTimes ON has 216 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StarTimes ON ships an update every 2 months, TryPebble fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
