# 玄易 vs 元象八字

The clearest difference is monetization model: 玄易 at free with in-app purchases against 元象八字's subscription. 玄易 also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (42 vs 4). 元象八字's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 玄易 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and 元象八字 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

玄易 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 玄易 has 42 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of 玄易's written reviews are positive against 75% of 元象八字's.

玄易 ships an update every 10 days, 元象八字 every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
