# A vs Farcaster

The clearest difference is rating: A at 5.0 against Farcaster's 4.6. Farcaster's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. A sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Farcaster sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

A holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Farcaster has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

A ships an update every 3 weeks, Farcaster every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
