# Drawing Pad vs Makeup Studio

The clearest difference is ads: Drawing Pad at none against Makeup Studio's shown. Drawing Pad also leads on ratings volume (99K vs 2.9K) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drawing Pad sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Makeup Studio sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Drawing Pad against 4.4 for Makeup Studio. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drawing Pad has 99K ratings behind it against 2.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Drawing Pad's written reviews are positive against 38% of Makeup Studio's.

Drawing Pad ships an update weekly, Makeup Studio fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
