# X vs PointBreakSW

The clearest difference is rating: PointBreakSW at 5.0 against X's 4.4. PointBreakSW also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and ads (none vs shown). X's advantage is ratings volume (230 vs 7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. X sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. PointBreakSW asks for nothing beyond the download.

PointBreakSW holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X has 230 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

X ships an update every 3 weeks, PointBreakSW every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
