# Homeguardlink vs OMTake

The clearest difference is ads: OMTake at none against Homeguardlink's shown. OMTake also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months). Homeguardlink's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homeguardlink sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and OMTake sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homeguardlink ships an update every 8 months, OMTake fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
