# DJI Go4 vs HS GPS V5

The clearest difference is rating: DJI Go4 at 3.0 against HS GPS V5's 2.5. DJI Go4 also leads on ratings volume (6.6K vs 219). HS GPS V5's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DJI Go4 holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Go4 has 6.6K ratings behind it against 219, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of DJI Go4's written reviews are positive against 27% of HS GPS V5's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DJI Go4 ships an update every 3 months, HS GPS V5 every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
