# Dots and Patterns vs Words Everywhere

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dots and Patterns at every 3 months against Words Everywhere's every 10 months. Words Everywhere's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dots and Patterns sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Words Everywhere sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dots and Patterns ships an update every 3 months, Words Everywhere every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
