# Boulevard Professional vs L'Oréal Access

The clearest difference is rating: Boulevard Professional at 4.6 against L'Oréal Access's 2.7. Boulevard Professional also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (601 vs 20). L'Oréal Access's advantage is review sentiment (41% vs 13%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Boulevard Professional holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boulevard Professional has 601 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Boulevard Professional's written reviews are positive against 41% of L'Oréal Access's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Boulevard Professional ships an update weekly, L'Oréal Access every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
