# taim vs Budget Map

The clearest difference is ads: taim at none against Budget Map's shown. taim also leads on ratings volume (3.2K vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Budget Map holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: taim has 3.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

taim ships an update fortnightly, Budget Map weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
