# Welcomr vs Free

The clearest difference is rating: Welcomr at 5.0 against Free's 4.5. Welcomr also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 77%) and device support (3 vs 1). Free's advantage is ratings volume (195 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Welcomr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Free has 195 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of Welcomr's written reviews are positive against 77% of Free's.

Welcomr ships an update monthly, Free weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
