# iFont vs Text Case

iFont and Text Case both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Text Case's written reviews are positive against 46% of iFont's. iFont's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 146) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iFont sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Text Case sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Text Case holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iFont has 14K ratings behind it against 146, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of iFont's written reviews are positive against 78% of Text Case's.

iFont ships an update every 2 weeks, Text Case every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
