# Screen Ruler vs Measuring Tape +ㅤ

The clearest difference is rating: Measuring Tape +ㅤ at 4.8 against Screen Ruler's 3.7. Measuring Tape +ㅤ also leads on ratings volume (5.3K vs 26) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Screen Ruler's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Ruler sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Measuring Tape +ㅤ sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Measuring Tape +ㅤ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Measuring Tape +ㅤ has 5.3K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of Screen Ruler's written reviews are positive against 50% of Measuring Tape +ㅤ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Ruler ships an update every 3 months, Measuring Tape +ㅤ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
