# REC vs StageCameraPro2

The clearest difference is price: REC at Free against StageCameraPro2's $3.99. REC also leads on review sentiment (55% vs 46%). StageCameraPro2's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

REC is free to download; StageCameraPro2 costs $3.99 up front. REC sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. StageCameraPro2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

StageCameraPro2 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StageCameraPro2 has 1.7K ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of REC's written reviews are positive against 46% of StageCameraPro2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

REC ships an update monthly, StageCameraPro2 every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
