# DoodleConnect vs Microscope Resolution

The clearest difference is price: DoodleConnect at Free against Microscope Resolution's $1.99. DoodleConnect also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.7) and ads (none vs shown). Microscope Resolution's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 56%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

DoodleConnect is free to download; Microscope Resolution costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DoodleConnect holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DoodleConnect has 56 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of DoodleConnect's written reviews are positive against 100% of Microscope Resolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DoodleConnect ships an update every 2 months, Microscope Resolution every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
