# Audio 2 Text vs Transcribe

The clearest difference is rating: Transcribe at 4.5 against Audio 2 Text's 2.0. Transcribe also leads on ratings volume (457 vs 1). Audio 2 Text's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Transcribe sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Audio 2 Text asks for nothing beyond the download.

Transcribe holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transcribe has 457 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Audio 2 Text's written reviews are positive against 47% of Transcribe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
