# Flat vs IMSLP

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Flat at 7K against IMSLP's 515. Flat also leads on chart position (#161 vs unranked). IMSLP's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and IMSLP sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Flat against 4.6 for IMSLP. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flat has 7K ratings behind it against 515, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 68% of Flat's written reviews are positive against 70% of IMSLP's.

Flat ships an update fortnightly, IMSLP every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
