# Flat vs BUCK∞TICK

The clearest difference is rating: BUCK∞TICK at 5.0 against Flat's 4.6. BUCK∞TICK also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Flat's advantage is review sentiment (68% vs 40%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and BUCK∞TICK sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BUCK∞TICK holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flat has 7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Flat's written reviews are positive against 40% of BUCK∞TICK's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flat ships an update fortnightly, BUCK∞TICK every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
