# Flat vs PASSING

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PASSING at none against Flat's 11. Flat's advantage is chart position (#172 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. PASSING asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flat ships an update fortnightly, PASSING every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
