# Code Kingdom vs Whiskey the spider

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Code Kingdom at 88% against Whiskey the spider's 54%. Whiskey the spider's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and rating (4.0 vs 3.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Code Kingdom sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Whiskey the spider sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Whiskey the spider holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 24 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Code Kingdom's written reviews are positive against 54% of Whiskey the spider's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Code Kingdom ships an update every 3 months, Whiskey the spider every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
