# Certificate Maker vs e

The clearest difference is rating: e at 4.6 against Certificate Maker's 2.0. e also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (298 vs 59). Certificate Maker's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (32% vs 9%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Certificate Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and e sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

e holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: e has 298 ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Certificate Maker's written reviews are positive against 9% of e's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Certificate Maker ships an update every 6 months, e every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
