# Focus Dog vs RandomTimer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Focus Dog at 85% against RandomTimer's 0%. Focus Dog also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (910 vs 3). RandomTimer's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Dog sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. RandomTimer asks for nothing beyond the download.

RandomTimer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Dog has 910 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Focus Dog's written reviews are positive against 0% of RandomTimer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Focus Dog ships an update fortnightly, RandomTimer every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
