# Acuity vs Driving GradeBook

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Driving GradeBook at none against Acuity's 6. Acuity's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (30K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Acuity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $29.00 per month. Driving GradeBook asks for nothing beyond the download.

Driving GradeBook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Acuity has 30K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Acuity ships an update weekly, Driving GradeBook every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
