# Acuity vs BarnOps

Acuity and BarnOps both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of BarnOps's written reviews are positive against 45% of Acuity's. BarnOps also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6). Acuity's advantage is ratings volume (30K vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Acuity sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $29.00 per month. BarnOps asks for nothing beyond the download.

BarnOps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Acuity has 30K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Acuity's written reviews are positive against 100% of BarnOps's.

Acuity ships an update weekly, BarnOps every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
