# FluvalSmart vs Remedies Citizen

The clearest difference is update cadence: Remedies Citizen at every 2 weeks against FluvalSmart's every 2 months. FluvalSmart's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FluvalSmart ships an update every 2 months, Remedies Citizen every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
