# Slaughter vs Reporter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Reporter at every 11 days against Slaughter's every 3 months. Reporter also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.6). Slaughter's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 73%). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Slaughter costs $0.99 and Reporter $0.59 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Reporter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 47 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Slaughter's written reviews are positive against 73% of Reporter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slaughter ships an update every 3 months, Reporter every 11 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
