# WebBoost for SEO vs SE Ranking Pro

The clearest difference is rating: SE Ranking Pro at 4.5 against WebBoost for SEO's 2.5. SE Ranking Pro also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (152 vs 30). WebBoost for SEO's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WebBoost for SEO sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and SE Ranking Pro sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SE Ranking Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SE Ranking Pro has 152 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of WebBoost for SEO's written reviews are positive against 56% of SE Ranking Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WebBoost for SEO ships an update every 4 months, SE Ranking Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
