# Whisper vs Whisper MSG

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Whisper MSG at 80% against Whisper's 14%. Whisper MSG also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.1) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). Whisper's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 3) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
