# NSC Exam Prep vs Komodo

The clearest difference is ads: NSC Exam Prep at none against Komodo's shown. NSC Exam Prep also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). Komodo's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NSC Exam Prep ships an update every 2 months, Komodo every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
