# FixIT vs Translator

The clearest difference is rating: Translator at 4.5 against FixIT's 3.8. Translator also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 10). FixIT's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Translator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. FixIT asks for nothing beyond the download.

Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Translator has 1.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 53% of FixIT's written reviews are positive against 56% of Translator's.

FixIT ships an update every 3 weeks, Translator every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
