# ScanPro vs QR Scanner

ScanPro and QR Scanner both sit at 4.1 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of ScanPro's written reviews are positive against 57% of QR Scanner's. QR Scanner's advantage is ratings volume (509 vs 16). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScanPro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and QR Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for ScanPro against 4.1 for QR Scanner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Scanner has 509 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of ScanPro's written reviews are positive against 57% of QR Scanner's.

ScanPro ships an update every 3 weeks, QR Scanner monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
