# GX vs DJI Virtual Flight

The clearest difference is ratings volume: DJI Virtual Flight at 1.8K against GX's 2. GX's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 34%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for GX against 3.9 for DJI Virtual Flight. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DJI Virtual Flight has 1.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of GX's written reviews are positive against 34% of DJI Virtual Flight's.

GX ships an update every 2 weeks, DJI Virtual Flight every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
