# Flip Clock vs Exact Seconds

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Exact Seconds at none against Flip Clock's 3. Exact Seconds also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). Flip Clock's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (70K vs 5). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flip Clock sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Exact Seconds asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flip Clock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Clock has 70K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Flip Clock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Exact Seconds's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flip Clock ships an update every 3 weeks, Exact Seconds every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
